Dual Blade Grader (ID 47015) - Bi-directional dual blade grader for tractors
Final Decision Maker: Farmers and Construction Companies

Introducing the Dual Blade Grader, a new patent pending tractor accessory that increases operator control and efficiency for grading and moving soil in a bi-directional manner.  There is an increasing demand for improvements and conveniences in products which serve the landscaping, lawn and garden, agriculture, construction, and consumer product industries.  The dual blade grader provides convenience and effectiveness for the vehicle operator.

The patent pending dual blade grader design is adapted for use in association with a tractor having a three-point hitch (other mounting methods are feasible) with the grader being capable of use in grading, cutting, moving, spreading and leveling all types of soil and aggregate.

This innovation provides several key benefits over scrapers and graders currently available on the market.  The dual blade unit allows the user to easily adjust the height of either the first or second blade without dismounting from the tractor.  Both of the opposable blades are hydraulically controlled which allows for the separate movements of the blades using controls on the tractor.

More significantly, the operator can configure the dual blade grader to either scrape the surface or back-drag regardless of the direction of travel.  The presence of two opposable blades allows for the vehicle operator to work either moving forward or backwards unlike current graders which can only be used in one direction.

Additionally, configuration is more structurally robust than currently available blade graders.  The stronger structural design may facilitate the use of lighter and/or less expensive materials of construction as compared to competitive grader blades designed for similar applications.

First stage prototypes have been built and the concept has been proven to work as intended.
