Introducing..."WineFloats" (TM) - The first drink holder designed to safely hold and float a wine glass in a pool or spa! Now anyone can feel like they're 'living the good life' with this simple, fun way to float a glass of wine or other drink! 'Relax IN your pool WITH your wine'! My "WineFloat" will let a wine glass ride with the motion of the water. You will be able to pick up a glass as it floats by, or swim over to it. No more worries with a glass setting on the side of the pool or dock, and the chance of it being knocked over or broken. Research shows that in 2004 there were over 4,500,000 in-ground pools, 3,500,000 above ground pools, and 5,000,000 spas in the U.S. alone. Also, there are many lakefront properties, hotels, resorts, and cruise ships with pools where WineFloats could be used. An average homeowner would have 4-6 "WineFloats", while a business might have 100's to 1000's. This would mean the total market for WineFloats to be much larger than just the number of pools and spas. The patent filing covers many options for shapes, colors and materials. One option includes a way to use a WineFloat as a radio paging system for use on cruise ships, and at hotels and resorts. They can even have lights on them to be used in the evenings and can also be made to hold all types of stemware. Customers could buy these in gift shops in a package that includes the glassware and WineFloats together. Businesses can also use them for advertising with printed logos or cut into unique shapes, or used as 'give-away' items at trade shows or other events. The basic "WineFloat" should be quite inexpensive, and easy to make. In volume, the cost to make these could be as low as 25 cents each. More ideas and information available on request.
