TheThink Tank "Hot Water Tank Optimizing Control" is a Hands Free Operation, EnergySavings Device that can be attached to virtually anyelectric hot water tank. Standard Hot Water Tank Operation:Thetypicalelectric hot water tank control system design has remainedbasically unchanged for over 60 years.
Other Products: The other current product available, somewhat similar to the Think Tank, in its operational intent is a standard time clock. (Produced by companies such as Tork, Paragon & Intermatic).These have the ability to reduce energy consumption by limiting heating cycle times to that of a fixed schedule. The user sets the time clock schedule. These are time periods for which the tank will be operational and times which it will be disabled. In order to get the most savings, the On time of the tank has to be as limited as muchas possible, which reduces times when hot water can be used. In essence the user has to schedule their hot water activities / use to that of the timer schedule. Another inefficient anomaly of the time clock's fixed schedule is that it turns thetank on for scheduled use periods even if there is no one there to use the water. What Makes the Think Tank Controller Different? Think Tank requires No Programming and there is NoSchedule to follow. Simply attach the Think Tank to the hot water tank and goabout your life. Think Tank will customize tank operationbased on its users needs, provides On Demand Synchronization of HeatCycles and Recovery time, automatically reverts to 1 hour On, 23 hour OffSleep Mode, one hour after last use, initiates a one hour Recovery cycle on initial start up or after a power outage. Think Tank provides virtual hands free operation, combined with a one time purchase costexpenditure vs. life time of savings potential make this product very viableand desirable. An added benefit of the think tank control is extended life of the water tank thermostat(s) and heating element(s). This added benefit is also achieved by virtue of reduced heating cycles.
