My product is a disposable applicator which inserts medicines of different kinds into the human body either rectally or vaginally without exposing either the user or the receiver of medicines to diseases such as HIV, HBV or HCV due to rips, tears or small invisible holes in gloves. It also eliminates exposure of either person to latex rubber proteins which can cause allergic reactions. 

The applicator can be made in different sizes for infants, children and adults with repositionable stops that prevent inserting applicator beyond a desirred length into the body cavity. The applicator (medicine inserter)  can be used by individuals, untrained persons or by persons with physical conditions which restrict their range of motion.

My product offers a less invasive way to insert medicine.

It reduces waste of medicine either due to melting or a persons inability to insert medicines rectally the first time.

The applicator can be recycled.

When I had hemorrhoids I could not find a product to insert rectal suppositories. All that was avaliable were re-usable devices or devices simular to finger cots. I was desperate! I was wasting so much medicine and could not insert the suppositories no matter how hard I tried. As a result, I ended up making a crude device that did the job. Thus my invention was born.

There are well over 275 different types of suppositories used for other medical problems besides hemorrhoids.

I have a letter from a pharmacist in which he states "It has been my experiance as a practicing pharmacist that the biggest hinderance to having patients use suppositories is the current method of application (the human finger). Many patients have refused to use suppositories for that fact alone. The applicator will give the patient a way to insert suppositories both easily and cleanly thus increasing patient compliance and theraputic outcome. It is the answer we have long been looking for."

Current products used for hemorrhoidal sufferers or those that have a yeast infection have to be washed and re-used. Ours is a disposable one-use inserter. It is better because cleaning a used medicine inserter is nasty and disgusting.

My medicine inserter can also be used by a pet owner or a vet to insert rectal medicines into dogs or cats.

Our applicator will give individuals and caregivers of both humans and pets a desired sanitary means of medicine insertion.
