Appliance Generator
- Appliance Back-up for office/home use
Final Decision Maker: consumer living in a home, apartment or utilizing a business office
The Appliance Generator is the "First and only gas free generator utilizing rechargeable batteries." This product will be safer than conventional gas operated generator that are portable enough to move room to room. We strongly believe this product would be beneficial in that is would provide temporary source of power during power failure. The product would have been of tremendous value in the 2002 Kansas City ice storm that left many, including the inventors family without power for weeks and even resulted in the death to some Kansas City residents using conventional gas generators incorrectly. This product will be affordable and provide safety for household and business use and most importantly preserve one thing that is very valuable to us all-life. This product can be producted at low manufacturing cost using existing assembly line and production facilities making it simple to mass produce. All production material and components are readily available on the commercial level. The product would be convenient and cost effiencent for the manufactures and consumers providing a temporary source of power for those in need of emergency medical equipment utilizing electrity to those who like to enjoy the luxury of lights, television and basic appliances during a power outage.

Inventor Commentary & Alternative Development Scenarios
|
|
| Inventor(s) Sales Goals |
| Minimum Goal |
$0.3 M |
Current GOAL |
$0.5 M |
The appliance generator can be used with every electrical appliance in the home and office. |
Inventor(s) Commentary: The concept of the Mini Generator was first conceived by Michael Smallwood
during an ice storm in Kansas City in 2002 that resulted in home being without
Power for more that two weeks. By offering an affordable temporary source of
power the basic everyday necessities. The 2002 tragedy cost many their lives
due to improper use of traditional gas generators. Michael though of a small
device that could be attached to any appliance that would allow the public to
view news broadcast on television and enjoy the simple things like a hot cup of
coffee.
While these things are taken for granted when there is electricity; the Mini
Generator would certainly be appreciated with the source temporarily removed.
The final decision maker for the products include male and females who own or rent homes or apartment; business professional who conduct business in small or in home offices. The appliance generator can also be used by those using portable electrical medical equipment in and outside of medical facilities. |
